What is Heart Sound? Types, Nature, Time, Location Of Heart Sound.
Heart Sound
- The Sound Produce from Closure Of Valve During Cardiac Activity Known as Heart Sound.
- The Sound is Produced due to backforce Produced by blood During Closure Of Valve.
Two Types Of Heart Sound:
1. Audible Heart Sound : Easily Heard by Stethoscope.
2 Types :-
A. First HS :- Produced During Ventricle Systole When Both Atrio-ventricular Valve Close.
• Nature Of Sound:- Lubb
• Time:- 0.10 to 0.17 second
• Frequency: 25 to 45 Hz
• Location:- On Chest Wall ( between 5th to 6th intercoastal Of Right and Left Around Sternum).
B. Second HS :- Produced During Ventricle Systole When Both Semilunar Valve Close, The Sound Develop From Vessel.
• Nature:- Dubb
• Frequency:- 50 Hz
• Time :- 0.10 to 0.14 second.
• Location:- Pulmonary And Aortic Valve Area On Chest Wall , 3rd Intercoastal Right and Left From Sternum.
2. Non Audible Heart Sound :- Not Easily Heard by Stethoscope.
2. Types:-
A. 3rd HS:- The Heart Sound Develop From wall Of Ventricle After Second HS.
It is Developed From Ventricle Wall during Rapid Filling.
• Nature:- Tik
• Time :- 0.07 to 0.10 second
• Frequency:- 1 to 6 Hz
• Location:- 6th intercoastal in Left from Sternum.
B. 4th HS :- It is a type Of Non Audible Heart Sound Develop From Arterial Wall during Arterial Systole.
• Nature:- Tak
• Time :- 0.2 to 0.4 second.
• Frequency:- 1 to 4 Hz
• Location:- 3rd Intercoastal 1 Cm Left Of Sternum.
