Daily Requirement Of Vitamin A:-

           • In Children:- 900 to 1100 IU

           • Adult.          :- 750 to 900 IU

           • Pregnancy :- Approx 1000IU


Source Of Vitamin A:-

         • Plant Source:- Yellow Fruits , Guava, Papaya, Apple, Indian Gooseberry.

         • Animal Source:- Butter, Cheese, Yogurt, Milk, Egg, Fish Oil, Salmon.


Digestion Of Vitamin A:-

Retinol is Not digest, It is Directly absorbed.But Beta Carotene are digest by bile salt then convert in Beta Carotene then absorb.


Function Of Vitamin A:-

1. Retinal enter in Rod Cell Of Retina then Convert in Rhodopsin.

2. Formation Of Desmin Protein.

3. Synthesis Of Mucus.

4. Help in Hair Growth.

5. It Neutralise the Free Radicals.

6. It Detoxify the Free Radicals so Also Known as Antioxidant.

7. It Improves Immune System.



Deficiency Of Vitamin A
